Accommodation for 5 in New York

Hi just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where to stay in New York for 5 people at a reasonable price not sure what area would be best want to be in a location that is quite central for all the main attractions.

I am looking to travel in April for 6 nights I've looked at expedia, booking.com etc just wondered if anyone has any better suggestions.

Thanks.

Try http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/new-york/new-york-city/manhattan for apartments. 6 nights shouldn't be a problem. We've used this for our next trip and are staying in Greenwich Village.

Where to stay depends on so many things. Last time we were in Midtown East, close to 5th Avenue and Times Square, but preferred the Greenwich Village area as a place to stay as it's more of a "real" (albeit expensive to actually live in) area than the more hotel and business area of Midtown.

    Hi,
We are going in Feb and we booked an apartment near Greenwich village through Holidaylettings.co.uk. We booked 3 bedroom apartment and it works out at £33 per person per night (we are only going for 4 nights-also 5 people). Much better then booking a hotel.

Obviously we haven't been yet, but previously I booked villa in Spain through this site and all was fine.

    .

Try Radio City Apartments (google for the addresss, or try radiocityapts dot com Centrally located, behind the Rockerfeller Centre. They have two bedroom apartments, which will sleep up to 5, and are reasonably (for NYC) priced.

I stayed there a couple of years ago, and would recommend them.

Do check out the New York thread if you havent already.

I do know from what I have read that there may be issues with rental apartments to do make sure you have checked these out and are all above board.

If you want to be in the same apt looking direct on the hotel's website they sometimes have offers etc and may be able to do a deal.

I know the Marmara Manhattan has apartments - Upper east side I have stayed there before. Easy to get to attractions and out of the hustle and bustle.

I am staying in Murray Hill this time which will make walking to places easier and will save a few £'s spent last time on buses and cabs

    Eastgate Towers
    Radio City Apartments
    Affinia Dumont
    Affinia Manhattan
    BelleClare
    Embassy Suites

These are all places which do rooms for 5.

Might be worth speaking to some of the bigger hotels to see if they can do interconnecting rooms aswell.
