Hey all...Heres the low-down:
Get paid tomorrow - Clear my credit card - Will end up will £156 for the month:
My monthly out-goings are , mobile phone , going out , food , haircut , return money to who i owed rent ( but i can talk my mum out of paying rent )
The advice is how can i survive on a low budget ?
Will end up with £38 surplus without paying rent i havent even included food :mad:
Need help

Scrap haircut, don't go out for a start!!!!!!!!!!Look up some of the food ideas on here - is there stuff you could use up in freezers and cupboards?:rotfl:0

Are you clearing the credit card in full? You could use it carefully for small amounts of purchases only if no interest will be applied then clear it in full again next month and keep doing that until you have some real savings.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

The thing is i hardly go out only once a month , i actually need a haircut now , hair was grown ,
I got £460 on my barclaycard shall i just pay £400 and pay the rest bit by bit over the month ,
I paid £400 last month and had and spent over £200 on a bag and a few jumpers
Had like £192 to pay of this month but spent it and my balance has grown more
I really need to stop0 -

Yes i am i just checked my payment is due in 21 days so like 3 weeks but shall pay i still it off
but now its grown to £463
Interest On Your Standard Balance
INTEREST 1.527%
thats like £6.02 on my balance atm..
and thats 1.527%
So if i pay £400 this month and left with a balance of £63 bearing in mind i don't spend using my credit card.
I will have to pay £0.96p in interest or am i mistaken
Annual Purchase Rate 19.90%
Cash Interest Rate 27.90%
I was tempted to use my credit card for cash as i am £16 in credit with my bank..0 -
i would also recommend the no hair cut and going out, even if its just for one month! i've had to seriously cut down on my going out and as a result havent been out now for over 3 months, and I had to go 8 months without a hair cut and the only reason I got one was a birthday present from my sister!
If its only for the month I really would suggest it, because next month, when credit card is cleared you can go out and celebrate and get a fab new do to go with it!!

i would try not to go out this month and try to stretch not getting your haircut to next month. if it's long experiment with different up-do's, messy buns, ponytails etc. different hair styles each day and you won't even notice it needs cut. I am in serious need of a haircut but something else always comes along and I leave it for another week.
in the meantime have you got anything you can e-bay or old games etc you can trade in or old cd's/books you could sell just to get you back on your feet till next month.
good luck0 -
No completely wrong you must pay it off in full to avoid interest and always pay it off in full every month and use it as a cash management tool. Never use the credit card for cash that's evil on both interest and charges. What would you need cash for anyway? Anything you "need" to purchase can always be put on as a purchase. You can use it again straight away but paying off in full will always cost you nothing. So pay the full £463 off the card (I'd do it now/tomorrow so you aren't tempted to spend it elsewhere)...you'll have no money so use it for purchases but less and less each month till you don't need it any more.Yes i am i just checked my payment is due in 21 days so like 3 weeks but shall pay i still it off
