A friend is Stoozing to a hedge fund!

A good friend o mine has told me he's Stoozing from credit cards and putting it in a hedge fund.
He knows it's dangerous but what can I do to persuade him to put it somewhere safer?
I admit it is tempting.

Order of events: Banks lose our money -> get bailed out -> were inflating GBP to cover it -> now taxing us -> next will grab your funds direct -> things get really desperate to balance the books. What should have happened?: banks go bust and we lost our money much quicker

Sounds quite unlikely based on the inaccessiblity of hedge funds to retail investors, they really arent interested in small fry, least of all those in a regulated environment.
If this is true hes not stoozing really but playing with fire. These funds although aim to give superior returns do generally carry large amounts of risk, although the term hedge fund is in itself an unsatisfactory term given the huge variety of funds and their scope and uses.
