Hi guys,

I have a pc which has windows xp on, and a laptop which has ubuntu on. I would rather have windows xp on both systems so my question really is, is there anyway to install xp on the laptop using the windows from the pc. :o

My laptop doesn't have a cd drive (tiny netbook!!), but I can use a usb flash drive to transfer any data !! :D

Can anyone help? :T

doom :)

You can clone it but it may not actually startup afterwards, Driver issues. Then it will detect too many hardware
changes and want to validate windows again. So one of your devices will fail that check.

You need another serial number and a disc or files to install windows from scratch.

You can buy windows XP quite cheaply now. Windows 7 for netbooks would be another option.

    The simple answer is no.
You need an XP installation disk, and licence.
You could transfer the files from the installation disk to a USB stick.
