Rump Steak £5.74/ kg @ Morrisons

I didn't say they were buying cheap packaged stuff.
If it is already in a pack it's pre packed. If you go direct to the butcher & get them to cut it & pack it that's not pre packed.
Also I rarely shop at Morrisons as they are too far away
I think the confusion is other supermarkets pre packed meat is factory cut and packed. Morrisons meat is cut and packed in store by the same person who will cut you a fresh bit if you ask. That's why I like it, it's very good quality and I can get supermarket prices and selection with the benefits of a butcher preparing it to my liking.AKA: PC

You could add something like lardons or a bit of bacon after 45 mins, should add a bit of juiciness. Or just include the fat from the steaks then fish it out before serving?0

It's a Greek dish with 2 cups of olive oil in so I should be okay :rotfl: but I think I will try putting the strips of fat I've cut off in, then fish them out see if it adds anything thanks.AKA: PC

£12/kg for sirloin, that's no bargain, but hey if it's a treat and you enjoy it, good on ya. :money:0
