Anyway...was a very good price for the BB item, regardless, so still pleased overall (thanks Karlie, still glad you posted! )....but just not sure I would've bothered ordering if I'd realised what I was going to get. Compared to the Sally Hansen deal I think the nail offer is probably better value.

thanks for the update. but i do agree with you. maybe a nice and polite email to the company highlighting the above point? worse can happen is you get nothing, but then again you may be surprised!

No worries - it's not your fault! You just posted what their description said

I've never heard of lipcare either (a procter & gamble brand apparently), so that's where the confusion came from. "lipcare" just sounds like a general term which could apply to any brand....and as they'd mentioned Burt's Bees, I naturally assumed that the lip balm would be from their range.

With hindsight their wording makes sense but the wording definitely could've been clearer and better images would've helped. I've emailed them already and will see what they come back with, if anything.

Sorry...don't want to sound like I'm going on and on....just trying to make it clearer for anyone else thinking of buying this!

haha, fooled twice by this offer, they had the same one a couple of years ago, remembered the offer of burts bees but not the lip balm piece as we found we had registered with this company before and it reminded us of a similar offer but completely forgot the lipcare wasnt burts bees and the dissappointment when it arrive ah well couple more years and we will be fooled again

I emailed Customer Services (via the contact form on their website) to say how disappointed I was. They replied today and, although they didn't really admit any fault, they said they'd send me a more expensive lip balm as a gesture of goodwill!

If anyone else found the wording ambiguous and ended up disappointed, then I'd definitely let them know as you may get something out of it!

thanks, I got mine today and to be honest was very disappointed with the BB product too, I got a coloured lip shimmer in "nutmeg" - sooo not my colour! I didn't even realise it was coloured!

I also got Nutmeg and wasn't thrilled by the colour but knew it'd be pot luck, so can't really complain. Wearing it on it's own looked hideous on me but I found it looked nice if I first put some foundation on my lips and then dabbed the lip shimmer on top - made it a pale pink colour....more subtle, better for my style/skin tone and will probably stay on longer that way too!
