Same here. I started at about 8 this morning and from 11 onwards NRT!

Could do to get another hour in today so hoping there's something available later on.
  • I'm quite pleased I took this week as holiday as its halfterm. Hope next week is a good week for us all.
  • Thanks everyone. Was thinking the NRT was maybe the beginning of the end but I'll just carry on until I'm told otherwise!
  • First time I have seen NRT - a little annoying as I had been planning my weeks to fit this in as its my second income. Hopefully by the time I get in tonight I will have at least an hour. Managed an hour early morning. Hope this does not last too long
  • NRT here too, got about 40 mins today, tried this morning early and this evening...oh well back to the learning portal!!
  • Hello.
Long time reader, first time poster. I have been with Lionbridge for about 6 months now. Yes the good old NRT has hit me today as well. Firstly, all those worrying about getting their hours in, the highest number of hours I have posted in a month has been 21 (despite minimum requirement being higher) and my lowest stars have been 3, so don't worry too much if you don't make your hours. Secondly, I am working full time and doing this to find a bit of extra money. How do I go about sorting out paying tax. Should I bother for the amount I am earning? Any tips?

You HAVE to register for self assessment, you have to do it asap or you get fined. Lionbridge state in your paperwork at the start they may check you are paying your taxes etc.
It's dead easy to do online on HMRC website - it's also a bit extra income for me around a full time job. I put 20% away into savings each month, and I also sent off a form to make myself exempt from paying NI as I pay it in my full time job and won't be earning more than the amount it states from Lionbridge to pay extra. Think we can claim back internet costs etc too but I haven't done a proper SA yet (they made me do one this year but I started work on something like 5 April 2011 so only just fell into last year's tax year, but I hadn't been paid off Lionbridge or anything for about 3 days work lol so I didn't need to pay anything!).
