the document you sent states that the loan is re-constructed from sept99 to date, however they have not included any figures for the period sept99 to may04, this is where they should have used an average figure.
unless thay can demonstrate otherwise this is how i read the offer.
i hope this helpsI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
thanks, when I phoned them they kept re-iterating that they couldn't do that as they didnt have the paperwork and as far as they're concerned I may never have used my card in that period, what a silly statement to make, why would I get a credit card and not use it, stupid people !0

i know what you mean, thats why they normally work out an average figure and apply that, this is usually agreed with the FOS. i know some people have gone to the FOS and have won previous years on this basisI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
forgot to ask,
did you ask for/ever get a SAR, as if you did and you bank with Lloyds you may have been given bank account statements (not credit card) going way back, mine went back to 1996 with mine, these will show payments to your credit card which you could use to argue that there was a balance on there pre 2004I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -

you will need to send a cheque/postal order for £10 and they have 40 days to get the information to youI'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
In the currently climate, I'd snap their hand off for £1200. Where else are you going to get £1200, back of the sofa?
I am making a PPI claim against HSBC, cos I can. It doesnt necessarily make it a god given right to get money from a bank. I didnt need or want PPI, but maybe I should have read more into what I was doing at the time.
In theory, I'm owed nearly £4000, but if they over £1200, its potentially free money that would come in handy.
In summary, dont look a gift horse in the mouth! They could now make you take it to court, and you could lose. Be careful!0 -
Thanks robbed of my money,
I just want to reply to the previous post, the money I,m claiming back is MY money and I do have a right to claim it back, I was on incapacity benefit when I got my credit card so I should never have been sold PP.0
