am looking for some places to cycle up to 30m for holiday to Argyll- around Loch Awe. Have found a couple of sites but as argyll is huge the routes are about 2 hours from where i shall be staying. This is just a long shot in case anyone knows the area. I have contacted a couple of local cycle clubs also for advice

You might be able to find some routes on OpenCycleMap.org... As the name suggests, it's an open source mapping site showing cycle routes, bridleways and footpaths.
I think you can upload your own routes (if you discover any) and download the maps onto GPS devices (but, to be honest, it sounds pretty complicated!)0 -
