MSE unique site....

.........but if the forum became unmanageable, could it, would it, be moved to Facebook or Twitter.
This thread was prompted by reading an insult thrown at Martin the other day and I thought I wouldn't take that sort of siht and be expected to pay to run the forum too.
I don't do the other sites so not sure....

How on Earth could it be moved to Facebook or Twitter?

This is an internet messageboard with lots of different forums where people can post. Neither Facebook nor Twitter operate anything like this.

Are you aware of the fundamental differences between the MSE forum and the sites you've mentioned?

Posters exchange views, same as here, and I can see blogs and messageboards merging at some stage. Probably not on Twitter, because of the limit.
My first forum was the BBC Gardening Messageboard in 2002, and because of the extreme censorship and no links allowed, practically the whole board moved to another more liberal site (overnight).
    p.s. You're a bit harsh.

    Thanks Ken,

Unfortuantely as the forum grows taking insults has had to become something I get better at dealing with (still not great though - I often take things too personally)

We hope this forum provides a unique source of information and way to react and while it can be a nightmare headache to run - the team and I are still enormously proud of it.

While many complain about 'no free speech' actually we try and prioritise whats important and that is giving consumers a place to voice legitimate concerns (rather than debating wider issues). For that reason we now have our own in house lawyer 95%+ of who's job is fighting off the scores of legal complaints we receive at posts to try and defend and keep posts up in a way I dont think would happen on other sites - and allowing people to engage.

So the forum, I hope, is here to stay.
