Looking for cheapest train tickets 16/01 london-glas or edin

Hi I am hoping someone who is good at finding good fares can help me...
16th Jan (any time from london to glasgow or edinburgh) and back down from either to London either 17th or 18th. Jan
I can never find decent prices.
It's for my daughter (no rail card)

    If your daughter is eligible, then it might be worth her getting a railcard. The savings on this trip could well pay for it.

    Booking further in advance is the main tip - though even then Sunday fares aren't that cheap

    DEp 16th there is a 1025 and 1255 which both show £33.45 with a 16-25 railcard
    Coming back the 18th there is a 0750 /0950/1150 one way with a 16-25 railcard = £27.60

    so in total thats £61.05. thats from the cross to Glasgow. may work out cheaper if you want to split it but given you have left it late..

    Though if you travel from Euston on the 0945 to Glasgow then come back on the 1840 on the 19th with a 16-25 railcard thats available for £48.50

    Further tip - book on the East Coast website and some fares will be 10% cheaper than elsewhere (those for East Coast advance tickets to be specific)

  • Was going to give you a discount code for a 16-25 Railcard, but I don't think you will get the card in time as it's an online discount only and the website say's it could take up to 5 days to deliver. But here it is anyway might help;
