Just had Direct Finance haranguing me on the phone as well, claiming to be another broker. Are they another of those "charge a fee for no results" firms?
On the upside, my bosses might possibly be able to help out, which we will discuss tomorrow, regarding the HGV training fees.

Good news about the fees. Are they thinking they could pay it and then you pay it back out of your salary in installments?
Will the training lead to a higher income?

Direct Finance - I've not heard of them but looks like they are another to steer clear of https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1370671

  • I'm not depending on the bosses paying my training fees. The work I do now does not involve HGV driving at all so no, it won't benefit them in any way. I started the training when I was between jobs and it cost a lot of money, which I had to beg my parents to pay, so I can't really go back to them for more, in all fairness. I wanted HGV license as a fallback in case of future redundancies.
Cheers for the advice on DF. Getting a bit sick of all the pestering already.

Someone will be along soon to advise you how to get your money back, as frankly I can't be bothered.
  • Can someone drop in here the Freepost address for reclaiming my phone charges to the 0906 number? Does my letter just say "I'm cancelling any agreements we had and I hereby reclaim my charges from the phone calls I made. Here's a copy of my bill"?
