Primus Saver option 2 - Warning - no notification of cost increases

New Year resolution is to update telephone and broadband services as time permits for better spec/costs.
I have been with Primus Saver option 2 since early 2008 (BT line) but could not understand why monthly bills had started to doubled in price over the last 3-4 months, initially thinking this was just extra phone calls. However after calculating the breakdowns, it was clear that connection fees had increased significantly leading to the doubling of the cost of monthly bills. Phoned Primus and after 30 minutes backwards and forwards and vague and inconsistent discussion, have established the following:
(i) Around August 2010 onwards call connection fees were increased. I could not establish by how much exactly as 7.5p, 10.5p and 11.5p (pending) were all mentioned.
(ii) No notification of change in pricing structure on PrimusSaver option 2 so be careful as the increased costs are substantial over time.
Previous costs:
3p/min daytime to UK landlines, evening and weekends free
Use overide numbers for 0845, 0870 and international calls with low call connection fees (4p in 2008)
New costs:
3.5p/min daytime to UK landlines, evening and weekends free
Use overide numbers for 0845, 0870 and international calls with but call connection fees now 9.5p or 10.5p and 11.5p pending (same as BT at present).
A real pity how things have shaped up with Primus. Given call set up fees have increased so much now and they do not offer 0854 and 0870 numbers as part of their call packages (unlike BT) probably time to ditch and switch.

I have been trawling throught options this week on phone/internet for upgrades this side but think that Heinz has already clarified the best options on the other thread here and he certainly knows a lot more about these sorts of things than I do!

From what I can see, if staying with Primus looks like the best option is to use the 18185 overide approach during the day for a 5p total cost call on UK local/national.
