Which printer to buy?

I need a new printer that is compatible with my Dell computer. My current printer (Dell) doesn't work any more. Can anyone suggest a suitable one to buy. I only use it for printing out emails so don't need anything fancy. Don't want to spend any more than about £50 but the important thing is the cost of the cartridges as these seem to vary so much and can be very expensive.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I use Epson because they can be refilled (you need a chip resetter off Ebay) and the compatible cartridges are cheap.

Loads on Ebay and Amazon.

Thank you everyone for replying. The last time I used this site there was a 'thanks' icon to tick but it seems to have disappeared.
I'm still researching printers.0
