I think we might scrap the 'all white' idea, and have a mixture. I keep browsing through roses, and there are so many lovely ones. I found a short blue-ish rose (Intermezzo), that is about 50cm height, unfortunately, it is out of stock!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0

But it's only a problem if the soil has had roses growing in it for many years. If you want to move a rose within a few years of planting it, rose sickness will not be a problem.
Ginvzt, there are some lovely roses that have beautiful, big hips that will provide colour over most of the winter as well as flower on and off all summer. Have a look at those as well before you make your choice.0
