I also got an extra payment todaySealed Pot Challenge member #982
In 2012 I pledge to:- Save £1 a day, meal plan, be more organised, have NSDs, set myself a budget AND STICK TO IT, throw all loose change into Sealed Pot and not open it till 29th November.:money:0 -
I had the letter, just checked and no payment for me!
Careful though, coz people were saying earlier that they were giving it then taking it back :undecided I'd leave it in there a couple of days just in case!0 -

My payment day is today and yes i got an extra £6 to what i normally get . I had the letter in December about the extra payment so im thinking this must be the extra . I expected the payment to be more and also for me to get it separatly on a different day to my usual payment . Maybe another payment might go in tomorrow .0 -

Youre right, they giveth then they taketh away! Its happened to quite a few people apparantly. Some have had no letter but got the extra payment yet an advisor told me when i rang them the other day, that if you dont get a letter, youre definately not getting an extra payment...go figure!
Been a bit of a farce if you ask me...whats point in sending letters out to people who are not going to get it and not sending letters to people who are? No wonder noboby can get thru to TCO coz everyones hammering the helpline to find out what the hells goin on!
While were on the subject, the advisor i spoke to said that people who are either expecting a change in their circumstances, or people who will be affected by the huge changes in April (thresholds etc) are the ones who will be getting the extra payment. Well what if neither of these things apply to you yet u still get extra payment?
Im glad i havent had a letter or a payment, even if i did get extra, it would just be my luck for them to take it back:rotfl:so they can keep it for all i care! At least the rest of my payments wont go down...:)
ps-they arent sending letters out to everyone like it was originally thought but they are sending them to the wrong people by the sound of it lol..!!0 -
By the way..all these letters seem to have been dated and sent out in December but obviousley due to the snow, hols etc, people werent getting em til beginning of Jan. Anyone had a letter dated and sent out in January?0
