Scottish students - travel expenses.

it goes into your bank mine and my boyfriends went in today we applied the day after it opened. My friends went in yesterday.

i know a woman who lived round the corner from me who has no reason other than convenience to travel by car. Takes her half the time it takes me on a good day. She didnt send a letter and received more than me last year.

i was under the impression they worked it out by seeing what it would cost on public transport and giving you that but apparently now. Think she added some to her claim as well

I can only imagine the absolute nightmare it would be, but I wish SAAS asked for proof on all claims.

Still no progress for me, Although I applied very early on the 12th, when I check my claim progress online it says that saas didn't receive it until the 14th.

So im a little confused as to how they now sort through claims, again it seems totally random, if people who applied after are getting paid first.

Still no one seems to be willing to say how much they applied for and how much they have received!

Online progress desnt seem to update but if you call and use the automated service , using your student ref no , it seems to be up to date there, says mine was prccessed 18th so expecting money tommorrow as nothing today.

I applied 12th around noon.

Just rang the automated phone line and it says mine was processed today. Which is nice to know, as your right the online one, never says anything of use.

just rang now was processed on the 18th apparently doesnt'y tll me how much just that I should get it in 7 days

within 7 days usually more like 3 so maybe tommorrow.
