Well SW, i decided to use what skills i have and get stuff sorted.
I have hand washed a lot of clothes and undies- which are almost dry:D Added bonus is that the waste water also feeds the plants.
I boiled tea towels and cloths, after first removing marks- they too are also on the line drying.
Runner beans have been replanted in pots:D
Had a quote to get the shower fixed, and they have said i will need a new one:o So i think i may also have to dip into savings for that one. The good news is that i have a pension refund to chase up and a tax rebate due to me ( fingers crossed for this month) so if i do that it will cover the cost of a shower- which should rapidly pay for itself as less water is used and heating. Fire and boiler will be serviced as well, but that will be next month.
Put figures in for snowball of mortgage loan and with overpayments i can clear this by Feb of next year:D So that is looking very promising i have to say. ( one frog swallowed):D
I am becoming rather optimistic now, and have also put my thinking cap on re fridge freezer- Do i have to have a new one? Or a reconditioned one? Which would come with a 12 month guarantee, this in turn would also release cash for other jobs to be completed. Older models do also tend to work for longer as well.
Off to get some more frogs swallowed i think. As well as a re jig of budget for next month.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well done on washing and potting.
I have written 25/40 reports and will do 40 economics one's whilst on jolly in Newcastle.
I bought a secondhand gas cooker, it was supposed to be a stop gap till my kitchen was updated and then i planned to replace it. It was only 6months old and came with a guarantee about 3 years ago and it has been fine. I didn't even know you could buy kitchen stuff in those shops my friend took me. It was great. Spiralling building costs mean kitchen will not be updated for sometime but i am so pleased that i have it.
Bob, well done on frog eating, it is infectious. What has Firewalker started? She totally rocks, i love her.
Bob are you around? Steve wants to take his clothes off.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
I haven't been able to afford fully changing my kitchen since I moved in 9 years ago! So, have painted the tiles (okay if they are small ones and you don't overload the brush), painted the kitchen unit doors white gold and replaced the handles with semi-circle chrome ones. I love it. At some point may get round to replacing the sink and the worktop but other than that it does it for me.

It seems that we risk becoming a super effective and efficient lot of fun having DFWs. This kind of sounds really good - if we keep it up we are not likely to stay WBs for long - and then the building begins...

I ate both frogs. This has confused Tixy on Susan's thread! What is WB? wannabe? PS Firewalker thanks for everything. I am getting there with this life malarkey (albeit slowly).
PS, everyone is talking about your frogs.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -

Well today saw a lot of frogs hopping away.
Filled in grant forms for GG unit- that was a job and a half.
Planned for camp
Filled in forms for new GG bank account.
Contacted HR re my contract and they owe me some more money.
Planned out lessons and caught up on other planning.
Had new shower fitted-That was an expensive Frog, it is a Titan shower and was £200 fitted- my savings have dwindled..but worthwhile i think. As replacement part and work would have been £150 plus VAT and a possible call out charge- no brainer decision then. Plumbers were decent, i don't often say that.
Chased up on Why we haven't heard about the washing machine,Company fine with request but are just waiting to hear from the insurers on that.
Have heard from friends of ours about their fridge freezer, they went into Curry's and bargained with cash- got £100 off it.:D So there's a plan.
Mr.B has finally got his arriss moving and got two settlement figures- which total just over £2000:o Is very good but i need to have a major re jig if we are to do it- The relief would be enormous.
So there you go Frogs hopping all over the place today.:D Fab weather too- extra added value factor. Orf to shower now...oh how long i have waited to say that- months and months:D:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
