And now you're taking them apart...next you'll be sticking your arm up them like James Herriot...

I did marketing for Christopher Timothy for a while.

Sorry to cramp your style Mr Z but i am pretty thick. I dont understand too much of what you say apart from the economics (well most of the time). Still we live and learn. Think of me as a YTS.

  • Hi SW we all had a nice day out in the Lake District, got back about an hour ago. Was as economical as i could make it, sandwiches, etc. Although i do think that parking is overpriced. We did decide to have our tea out- carvery on the edge of the Lake £3.95 per head, so very cheap and filling. It was paid for by Parents in Law as a thank you for recent events.

On other notes, I think we have gone some way to mending a lot of bridges/ understanding a few things- so good all round really.

Weather was fab everyone was smiling- so a totally glorious day.

If you o to the lakes a lot or near Nat Trust properties it is nearly worth while getting a single membership of the National Trust to cover parking!
  • We usually do Northern lass- this was Bowness, and i know where the cheap/free parking is, but it was all full :( I love NT for the parking-especially in Cornwall, and you can have fab days out for next to nowt. :)

  • Well the washing machine has officially died on me-again!

The engineer has just gone, and it turns out the racket and the leaking is due to the front weight completely shearing off and the bringing the hose with it.:o

So to fix will be a whole new drum, weight etc. Or as i have requested a write off or new machine. Either way will be another week before i am able to wash clothes. In this weather as well:eek::eek::eek:( it is such good drying weather)

So i think it is time for a bit of prudent re ordering of clothes, getting rid of ones which are no longer of any use. That should reduce washing down as most of it will have to be by hand, if the machine is out of order for so long. We only have three launderettes in town now that i know of! TBH i really do not fancy sitting in there on glorious days like this.

Gardening then planning for next week- i have three days in then off again- total madness the way some School holidays are planned this year.

    Have a good day everyone.
