New kitchens - howdens, wren or benchmarx?

We have just finished installing our Wren Kitchen and we are very very pleased with it. I think the workman ship is pretty good and we've had no problems with Customer Service - we ordered direct from the Stevenage store (they have had the same staff for a good few months now and they are all helpful)
The delivery was spot on, we had regular contact with CS about our order and 1 hr before it was delivered to the house the delivery driver called etc.
We installed the kitchen ourselves but had the work tops fitted by a local tradesman, that was the only bit we decided not to do! Everything is pretty easy going in and I would say to people give it a go! :beer:0 -
Bennybroadbean - we are looking at Wrens - we went to the Stevenage one at the weekend and had it costed out. Quite impressed - but did Wren fit your kitchen or did you get an independent? Their quote for a fitter was around £1,800 to fit 5 or 6 units plus sink and worktop over 3 days - but I don't know any fitters locally so would be relying on local papers (tried trust a trader but nothing really on there)0

Juts went to look at some Benchmarx displays .They also serve trade but will open an account for anyone who is interested in buying one.Service very good , much better than Howdens and also offer to CAD it .Cabinets all rigid and made by Gower ( unlike Wickes which are flat packed)
I was quite impressedArgentine by birth,English by nature0 -
Wren for me every time, even my independant fitters commented on the quality. No problems with c.s. or any part of order in fact the opposite, needed to order an extra which was shipped to us at no extra cost. Worked out much cheaper than Howdens even after their fantastic discount deals.0

After about a year of saving and research (Howdens, Wickes, IKEA, B&Q, Magnet, Moben etc - silly prices, designs and service) I used diy-kitchens.com and would highly recommend them - rigid construction (not flat packed) with matching interior colour, great selection of sizes and styles. Very good quality and service. All online - keeps cost down. Get a sample. No stupid 'sales, promos or discounts' - just good honest price also on ovens, sinks etc. More posts on them here somewhere, also Screwfix > community > kitchen fitters talk. We got our worktops through International decorative surfaces all over GB - Great choice, price and delivery. My builder was very impressed and my wife, who did the design (checked by diy) was very pleased - happy days.0

So how long have you worked for them?Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -

Hi Helen. I don't work for either of the companies I've recommended, honest - perhaps my post does come across like a pitch :embarasse Just my personal opinion and experience. Go check out others reviews, Screwfix kitchenfitters talk is good for all things kitchen.
Of course there are 'downsides' to everything - my wife had to do design the layout herself. Although this wasn't too difficult with graph paper and modification of previous designs we had done for free at B&Q, Wickes and Moben.Tips for kitchen planning: dynamicspace.com/dynamicspace/en/index

Hi
Looking at getting quotes on kitchens from both the above.
I see I should be able to get around 75% discount with Howdens.
Should I expect a similar discount at Benchmarx?
Many thanks.0
