Am I entitled to any redundancy pay?

Hi I have been working for the Local Education Authority for the past 6 years. It seems that I have been on a 1 year rolling contract. For the first 4 years I worked 1 day a week, and then 2 years ago this was extended to working 2 days a week.
I have now been told that, due to Government cut backs, my post will finish in August. I have recently joined a union (last october) and know that I need to contact them eventually but was wondering about the best way to deal with this and any thoughts on whether or not I was entitled to redundancy pay.
TIA

I dont see why you shouldnt be entitled to redundancy pay, at least statutory which is 1 weeks pay for each year of service up to the age of 41 and 1.5 weeks after 41.
(your week is 2 days pay) (the previous 4 years work at 1 day per week is irrelevant) it goes on what you work now.
You should also receive any accrued untaken holiday pay.
Youre certainly getting plenty of notice.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

As long as the contracts were continuous, then your employment is continuous and therefore you would be entitled to redundancy pay as that kicks in after two years of continuous employment.0

I was worried about the rolling contract even though I have only signed it once. I also have a £2000 a year honorarium is this taken into consideration too?
Thanks for the advice
