There have been a number of program guides that have closed down the analogue side of their service at the start of this year (e.g. Guide Plus).
If you find your model number and use your favourite internet search engine you will no doubt find out more - though possibly not to your liking! You may still be able to tune the device manually, though.0 -
Freeview or Analogue?
Have you followed the setup procedure, usually accessed through the Function menu?
Have you tried the 'Find New Channels' option?0 -
Plug a freeview box into it.0

its the built in free view that does not work any more tried adding new channels tried doing a complete reset scan, tried manual tuning, tried other tvs other aerials and nothing was totally fine until it was unplugged and now nothing tried emailing Panasonic and they send take it to one of there stores but would have to pay to have it tested and they they may or may not be able to help0

Ignore the above comments about the Electronic Programme Guide, they are not relevant to your problem.
The DVD recorder, like a TV, will tune into channels irrespective of there being an EPG. The OP has not lost the programme guide, but the ability to tune to broadcasts.
Lost_Lou, I would suggest looking on Google for a forum or user group dedicated to Panasonic recorders and asking for advice there.0 -

Of course, you're right - though there are other reports of people no longer being able to tune their Panasonic freeview devices after the Guide shutoff, it's probably coincidence - as you say, it should still find channels.
It certainly doesn't sound like a failure that could be fixed without opening it up and changing components, but it can't harm to ask the question on AVforums or a Panasonic-specific board.
IIRC, there was a change to the Freeview output a while back (change to the channel numbering structure?) that meant that a whole load of STB's could no longer auto-tune, but if that were true of the OP's, they would have noticed before now.0 -
This problem has just happened to us.
It's about 3 months since analogue was switched off in our area, but the hard drive lost all it's channels this week.
Manual tuning facility is not available on our model. No local Panasonic dealers or shops (i.e. within 20 miles or so).
Have searched the web and forums - but no one seems to have the answer.
Any knowledgeable people here please?0
