If those are your headlights shining on the garage door
Noall you need to do is stick a couple of bits of black electrical insulating tape on the parts of the glass where the triangular bits are.
Trial and error will get it right and then your beams will be flat topped.
You certainly don't need to spend £6 odd for some little silvery one-use-only jobs.
Berare glue on plastic lenses!
I have no doubt and in fact that would be my approach too, but 90% of the population are actually idiots and will quite happily pay £6 for a bit of stick on plastic, rather than use their grey matter and come up with something for themselves.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Lot's of sellers stocked up on the breath-kits, before the implementation of the French law was permanently suspended, so I suppose they want to offload them.
In fact French law does require you to carry a breathalyser. It is only the sanction (fine) that is suspended. Hard to see why anyone would carry one though.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -

You are exactly right there - the law was passed some time ago now.
That's why I worded my post very carefully.
It's the implementation of it which has been suspended indefinitely.
So there is absolutely no chance of being 'punished'.
But the ferry companies, the RAC, and the AA have got lots of them they need to sell to folks who believe that they are mandatory.0 -

Whilst there may not be a punishment, it really depends whether you want to spend time arguing with a gendarme over the legitimacy of their laws and subject yourself to further scrutiny so they can nitpick over your car and documents. I know that I'd rather the £4 saves me from any hassle. The man without a signature.0 -

I don't think they are at all interested in whether 'les Rosbifs' have stickers on their lights or not. LOL.0 -

At the moment the Gendarmes are having a major hit on speeding foreign nationals and anything that remotely looks like a radar detector. They seem to be checking satnavs to see if they have the speed camera warnings disable and updated to the new Danger Zones. The man without a signature.0 -

Yes - they are getting hot on this.
I downloaded the latest update to my Garmin and it no longer has any French camera locations.
My screen -cam attracted attention from them in May.
No probs after they checked what it was.0 -

This is correct for the moment. I have just got back from 4 weeks in france and we too were handed the leaflets. We didn't bother with the breathalyser or the beam deflector things, but i've never seen an English reg car with beam deflectors fitted anyway in all the time i have spent in france!0 -
You also only require a high viz vest for the driver within reach. You may choose to carry others for passengers but these are not madatory0
