help :legal costs

my friend is trying to chase her ex for maintance. She cant get legal aid as shes £50 over the limit...but cant afford anyone else. Is there any other way?

    she had and now theyve lost her papers. it will now take 2 more months and he hasnt paid, he had then stopped. He was paying less than he should in their agreement.
    Is there any other free legal advice? she cant get legal aid and cant afford a solictor.

    CSA is the only way to go for your friend.

    She would probably get the same advice from a Solicitor who she would have to pay £150 an hour.
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.

    and she may want to get onto the CSA asap. Saw a news article today stating that the CSA was going to change to the Maintenance Enforcement Program, and that parents separating were going to have to negotiate a fair amount of child support, and if they couldn't agree, they would have to pay to apply to the MEP for them to decide the amount! So......better to get it going now - and right now, CSA is the only way to get this done.
