Demand boiler for central heating/HW

Am I right in thinking that installing a modern 'demand boiler' (or whatever the latest jargon might be) to supply my hot water and CH system means that I can have the storage tank taken out of my loft?

You are thinking of a "Combi" boiler as they are known. Sizing will be all important for your usage and property, as will finding a reliable make. Hopefully one of the Central Heating people will reply later.A house isn't a home without a cat.

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

Year built?
Number and type of showers?
Size(s) of bath(s)?
Any other equipment or fittings that use water, especially hot water?
Easy this plumbing thing, isn't it?

Ok, I get the message. It would perhaps have been simpler had you said: 'not possible to say without being on the spot'.0

I would expect that anyone giving you a quote would want to come round and see the house. People on here can give you a guide price so you know you are not getting ripped off.LizEstelle wrote:Ok, I get the message. Why I asked is that you havent said if you are in a new detached house or a Victorian Terrace, whether you insist on both showers having huge roses and running at 4 bar, etc. All of which may have a significant affect on the system and the cost.A house isn't a home without a cat.

Would you care to check out my original post, please.
I am ONLY interested in the loft water tank matter - not looking for quotes.0 -

I wasn't offering a quote. It would go against the principles of this site, amongst other things, if I did.LizEstelle wrote:Would you care to check out my original post, please.

It would depend on what all the tank in the loft supplied. Do you mean a cold water tank or is it the hot water tank you are referring to?0
