E.on warning!
Signing up for online account administration eliminates paper bills - great until an email is inadvertantly missed because the email heading reads "do-not-reply making it unclear that it is a E.on BILL.
Missing it brings rapid (within 48hours) paper notification that the debt? has been referred to their legal debt recovery team.
Mine happened over a week-end which meant the notification was actually sent out before I was aware that I had missed it. The department Feuhrer was not available to talk to mere customers to resolve the problem and subsequently unless I sign up for paperless billing and risk missing another bill I am now unable to either post meter readings or pay bills by bank transfer (instant) and am forced to paying by cheque (how much time involved?) as credit/debit payment by phone/internet is not acceptable to me.
A personal belief that direct debit payment enforced by extra cost inflicted by any supplier should be banned is necessary.

I've never had a problem noticing my E-on bills in my emails. Are you sure you didn't miss more than one email? I've certainly never been referred to debt recovery because i haven't paid within 48 hours. I rarely pay that quickly lol0

not sure if i am understanding this correctly... " DO NOT REPLY" doesn't mean "DO NOT READ YOUR EMAIL"...0

The subject of the email I received a couple of weeks ago was "Your E.ON bill is ready to view". Admittedly it was a from a do not reply address (sysresponse-do-not-reply@eonenergy.com) but I think the subject makes it quite clear what it is.
What was the date of your bill and what was the date of the reminder you received? Are you sure you didn't already have an unpaid bill prior to your latest one being produced.0 -

Tell me about it! Plus, whatever happened to tunes you could whistle?0 -
Hi Thorrun,
As stewie_griffin has said the title of the email should read "Your E.ON bill is ready to view".
From what I understand from your post, you don't have a payment arrangement set up on the account and you transfer your payment once you have seen the bill.
You shouldn't have received a debt collection letter through the post unless there was already a balance left on the account from a previous bill.
Even if there was a debt left on the account, you would have received a reminder first.
If you would like me to look in to your account for you, I will be happy to do so.
Just send me your details to the email address in my profile page.

I just refuse to believe this. EoN are much better at this game than you're making out. They would have made numerous attempts to recover any monies owed themselves rather than pay a third party to do it for them!0
