We are staying at the Caleta Gardens, self catering. Pretty decent reviews on trip advisor.
At the end of the day we are using it as a base and hopefully be on the beach everyday and out at night.
Budget is majorly tight at only around 150 pounds each so we are self catering for the most of the holiday and saving up for a night out for one of our nights. We plan to buy from supermarkets and are doing our research with good deals for breakfasts which will see us through the day.

So all in all should get a Canaries holiday for around 300 pounds each including spending money!

Enjoy - can recommend the Chinese restaurant (there are a few but this one is directly opposite a souvenir shop outside of which are loads of photographs taken of tourists). Also the bakery is superb. For a nice relaxed drink, try the Netcafe (it doesn't have internet - just used to! - hence the name). The mini golf at the Barcelo is also pretty good (two courses) and is available to all. Finally - head over to the Atlantic shopping centre for ten pin bowling.
