Who are "Global Capital"?

These people keep phoning us, 16 times in the last 6 days. They will not listen when we try to tell them we don't want to talk to them, they just put the phone down. Now they say they have our address and will be sending stuff to us.
I can see they are in Malta, are they connected with any banks here?
We are really fed up with them, how can we get rid of them?
We are registered with TPS and the mail equivalent, but this doesn't seem to work when they are outside UK.

It's a common name and my guess is they are not the Malta based ones you are looking at. For example there are known scam companies called "Global Capital Securities Corporation" and "Diversified Global Capital Group".
It is undoubtedly a scam and as such they will not be taking any notice of the TPS.
There is no need to be polite to a scammer and engage in conversation. If saying "I know this is a scam, don't bother calling again" doesn't work then I suggest wasting their time by saying "I'll just go and get my husband/wife" then put them on hold (or just put the phone down off the hook). Come back 10 minutes later and cut them off without a word. I don't suppose you will have to do that very many times before they get the message.0 -
OP,
If Reaper's suggestions don't work, buy a whistle. When they call, blow the whistle as hard as you can down the phone. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
Ask them if they're regisitered with the FSA, and if so could they give you their registration number. Should shut them up.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
