car insurance
Hello,
Quick one
Have had a company vehicle for years about 14 , not getting a new one when the lease expires instead going to get my own.
Now i have had no accidents or claims in this time but when i have started looking at insurance no one seems to to recoqnise the fact i,m not a new driver and will not offer me any discounts , is there any companys who will take your driving expierence into account with proof from my employers claims history
the quotes i have had are a joke so far , even though i have a sports car and quad insured under my name for 3 years each , i cannot use any of them either
Thanks

Find out who the Company car insurance was with and approach them for a quote asking them to take your no claims on the company car into consideration.0

A few companies will give you maximun no claims if you can back it up with a letter from your employer, try getting an online quote with full no claims and then give them a ring.0

Have you just had online quotes or by phone? I'd suggest calling round insurers and explaining the situation. I think some accept a letter from your employer stating you effectively have 14 years NCB. Its not an unheard of situation to be in and I think there are ways and means...0

Thanks everyone , think i will ring some brokers up and speak to real people , online theres no option to explain anything :beer:Yeah i,ll be there in a minute !:j0

Give you an idea of cost if you out in full no claims though.0

Just found this: http://www.budgetinsurance.com/car-insurance/Frequently-asked-questions/Can-I-use-a-NCD-proof-from-a-company-car/
But I would steer clear of budget as its a brand of BISL who are a joke insurer tbh.
Also here: http://www.directline.com/motor/newimprovedcar.htm#companycarncd
who aren't on the price comparison sites anyway.

A lot of companies say they will take your no claims years into account and then unless you are a named driver on the company policy, do not accept it. I had the same problem, in the end I was given 1 years NCB as a new customer.0

If the worst comes to the worst, (shouldn't), you should easily get the 3 years on the sports car mirrored.0
