Low Deposit Holiday - Remainder

Hi
I booked a holiday with First Choice, we r due to go in Oct 2011. I paid a low deposit of £200,plus I have paid a further £100 with the remainder of the deposit due in about 3 wks time and the final balance due in August 2011. My problem is that I still have £575 left to pay on the remainder of my deposit, which is due in about 3 wks and I don't think I will be able to pay it on time, although I will have no problem paying the final balance in august. Does anyone no what will happen if I am late paying the remainder of my deposit? Will they just cancel my holiday? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

call them, and speak to them. Tell them your situation, and see what they can offer you. They may allow a little extra time to pay, or give you a payment schedule to help clear the deposit as soon as possible.
If you just ignore them, they have full right to cancel your holiday and seek balance of the deposit through whatever route they decide to take.
Hope this helps.

speak to them, i imagine they are the same as Thomas Cook where you have approx 10 days extra to pay or the holiday is cancelled. they might also take further action to recover the money not paid'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Many thanks,I will give them a ring and c what they say. I will have about £1500 coming to me in May so will be able to pay the whole amount then, its just the rest of the deposit i'm struggling with lol!!0

If you definitely have the funds coming why not arrange an agreed temporary overdraft with your bank?0

I can't get an overdraft with my bank, they won't let me have one

They usually ask for a post dated cheque or your card details and you sign a form agreeing to pay it come what may. Better check that outIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0
