taking own flowers to a funeral? Ettiquette?

    When my friend died a few years ago all us girls took our own flowers and put them in the grave with her. I took a bouquet of rosemary.

    Thank you all for your replies.
    I bought a lovely bouquet last night , like a winter bouquet but not bright or garish , love the idea of making your own, I just didn't have time to go during the day to a florists as my little boy is home sick.

    I don'y know what charity, if any, he supported, so am sticking with a simple flower token.
