ok,its been bit of a saga & wont go into it to much...but after doing fair bit of research & some Qs & As on here i thought the only way to see which is the best network for me is to take both out at the mo & cancle the one thats not up to scratch

first of all i think its a waste of time to do a coverage check on there websites as the data/phone would be used mostly on the move, its no good putting in your home postcode to see if the coverage/3g is great as i can use wifi at home & dont see the point of using my phone at home when iv got a laptop.

anyway i will post whats what on here after few days,it wont be technical jargin, basicaly it will be does it make/send calls & does the the net work fine...hope it will help a few peops out

  • i would read the return t&c if i were you mate, i dont know about vodafone but 3's policy clearly states the handset must be unused to be able to return it

    this means

    No calls/made recieved
    No Texts/made recieved
    No data usage

if you have done any of these they will only offer a handset exchange

thanks bud,but i allready have taken a 3 phone back last wk,told them there coverage was krap & also kept logging me out. i gave it back no problem,iv also got the manerger to sign to say iv got 14days to take it back used or not.. anyway how do they exspect you to know if it performs the way it should do with out you using it
ps voda give u 7 days to send it back used or not (recieved online or over the phone ) then another 10 days to send it back once you have recieved the package to send it back in
  • From my use Herts/Beds/Bucks, I have found Three far superior to Vodafone with the iPhone 4....esp with data speeds

rite,i had the fones side by side now for few days now.
the areas i have been are hampshire/surry/berkshire
when i downloded a u tube clip i would say 9/10 times voda was probably 2secs quicker but neither cut out during the clip & was happy with both speeds/performance
when conecting to the net it was 50 50,sometimes voda was quicker & sometimes 3.
making/reciveing calls... had no problems with either phone so happy with that
signal strength..i would say voda came out on top just about but there wasent alot in it,i had coverage at all times with both phones
3g.. the 3g symbol was there at all times
so in a nutshell there was not alot in it for me allthough i would say that when on the net 3 had a better picture/pixels (even tho both phones was on same settings)

iv decided to keep 3 & have sent the voda one back.if voda could offer 750mb p/m for £35 then i would of gone with voda due to the fact that from pass exsperiance 3 customer service is totally donkey poop.i tried to wangle an extra 250mb p/m with voda but they wernt having none it so they have lost out on a 2yr contract @ £35 pm for the sake of 250mb which proble cost them tupance...
anyway fingers crossed that i dont have to use 3 customer services but as its all you can eat data i spect it might be worth it!!

i know that this is not a frankinstien test of the year but the more people post about there exsperiances then thats a few more QS answered

now voda have recieved the phone back & i asked to cancle my existing contract as im now going with 3 i get a call from voda offering 1gb for same price.funny how they can offer me 1gb but when i spoke to them & said i was sending it back unless they could up it to 750mb they said no way,"apple dictate the priceplan" so by not budging on the deal at the time (when they could of)im off to 3
