Can someone advise please,I purchased a small van and my ex partner drove it sometimes,he has since left me for another woman and taken the keys of my van and also the V5C doc.
I had to have a wheel clamp put on the van because he tried to take it off my drive, there is no longer any tax or mot on it.
I have found out that he has sorn the van also.
Not sure what i can do about the v5c any advice please, there is no way of contacting the ex partner due to violence and I have no idea where he is.

did you get a receipt in your name?
also in the meantime take the reg plates offI MOJACAR0 -
Nick it back.
Apply for a V5 in your name, if you're at the registered address you'll get away with it. If he has changed the address you won't.0 -
He took the receipt with him,my van is on my drive I cannot drive it because he left with my van keys and the log book which has his name on it,he has sorn the van but i do not know what address he has given DVLA.
So I cannot use the van or even sell it,I am moving house in the next 4 months and I have the problem of the van.0 -
if the van is worth money then I think you are going to need to see a solicitor, most do a half hour consultation for free, you could also try ringing DVLA for their adviceI MOJACAR0

Look at
http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@motor/documents/digitalasset/dg_186411.pdf
page 5
then you can fill in
http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg/groups/dg_digitalassets/@dg/@en/@motor/documents/digitalasset/dg_065303.pdf
and you can get the details from the V5
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/AdviceOnKeepingYourVehicle/DG_4022067
What you do with the details though, I'm not sure. Get your solicitor to advise him to move it I would guess. Or register it in your name.0
