Bath Repair kits

Has anyone any experience of using a bath repair kit, and were the results satisfactory ?

I am currently having a new bathroom installed. Unfortunately a small disaster has occurred overnight......

The tiler tiled the top underside of the window yesterday. Unfortunately two tiles fell off onto the window sill and cracked the tiles on there. The third has landed in the bath and punctured the 'protective' film and put a small chip in the (acrylic) bath. The tiles had been fixed with unibond and had been propped in the afternoon. I think he is looking for a stronger adhesive for this area of the bathroom (the type that sets after 30 mins). A bit late I know.

To be fair, he has otherwise done a very neat job & offered to stand the cost of a replacement bath, but the problem is that the rear of the bath is sunk rapproximately 1 inch into the wall, and a row of tiles would need to be removed from all around the bath.

I am leaning towards getting the bath replaced, but we might try the repair kit in the first instance.

If it produces an invisible repair I might resist the urge to replace the bath, and the disruption that comes with it.

I'd get him to replace it - you've paid for a new bath, you should get it.Yes, it was an accident, but his insurance will cover it. I would be very dubious about repairing any hole that was likely to be below the waterline - if it lets water through, it could wreck a lot more than a row of tiles.
