    I've never seen any double glazing that looks anywhere near as nice as our current period wood windows - maybe it's out there and I haven't found it.

    Its not possible to use Low E glass for single glazing, you will end up rubbing the low E coating off the inside of the pane when you clean the windows.

    Many small Joineries can make new windows with slim glazing bars and traditional mouldings.You would need to be standing 2 feet from the windows to see the difference ,which would be the spacer bar in the double glazed sealed unit.


    The following link is to a window I made which was single glazed , if made for double glazed units it would look the same.
