eCheques

Is anyone else finding eCheques are *really* slow to clear at the moment? I've had one that took 12 days recently and am currently waiting for two from buyers who paid on 28th and 29th October respectively.

It's got to the point where if someone pays me by eCheque, I send them an email saying I'll post as soon as it clears, but please be aware Paypal are taking up to 10 working days to clear funds.

I receive e-cheques now & again and they have always taken 10/11 working days to clear, mine from the 22/10 and 23/10 have both cleared on 31/10.

e-cheques are a nightmare - I can't understand why they take so long!

Personally I think paypal are punishing us Brits for not being American by delaying our echeques...however my theories are notoriously random after half a bottle of champagne.:T

I have often had them clear within 4 days - however, they are clearing without notices being sent and it its not updating on eBay selling Manager/Pro so check your Paypal account to be sure as they may have cleared. I had one woman waiting for 2 weeks and then found it had cleared 8 days previous as I was waiting for it to update on eBay - it didn't. Also not getting a lot of my Payment notifications which is a real headache. Blame the 10p listing day!!

I drink very little so when I do I splash out on bubbly. This is the last of the Tesco special offers from a few weeks back. I can always think of something to celebrate!

I hadn't had an echeque for ages, yet within minutes of reading this thread sold something and got an echeque, how weird is that?

  • I've just had another one :wall: :wall:

blue_monkey - what's your secret??! I've just checked my Paypal account for when the original payment was made (20th Oct) and the Cleared payment entry was 31st Oct, so it's not just that I'm not getting notifications sadly.

It's annoying for me in cashflow terms and it's annoying for the buyers in that they have to wait for their goods.

C'est la vie, I'll just have to learn a bit of patience!
