Santander Credit Card

Credit card issuers should make it more obvious as to whom the underwriters are and if it’s Santander I would recommend you stay well clear. A recent simple transaction error by Santander has so far cost me a fortune in phone calls and the situation is still not resolved 2 months later. They are very difficult to contact and very unhelpful when you do finally get through. My credit card was ASDA but unfortunately run by Santander and its quite difficult to find a new credit card that suites my needs that is not Santander. I have an excellent credit rating and pay off my balance every month. So beware !!!!!

It is always detailed in the terms & conditions you agree to when apply who is the card issuer. Santander are the issuers of the Asda branded credit card, not the underwriters.
There have been a lot of problems with santander recently due to switching over computer systems and trying to bring recently purchased banks on to the same systems. You may find you have more luck resolving your problems if you write to them rather than phone (costs a lot less as well).
