Hello.....and help !
We have maxed out on several credit cards as we have been saddled with a load of debt from my brother in law over the past 5 years. We have until now been very good at meeting all regular monthly commitments but are now at the point where we are beginning to struggle month by month and have one credit card that is overdue by 1 to 2 months. This will now begin to affect my otherwise good credit record. If only we could shift debts to cheaper or zero credit rates. I am always getting declined now due to my link to my wife who has all the bad debt. Any suggestions ?

If you have tried and been declined several times for new cards then you will have to come up with another plan to manage your debts. If you have several maxed cards and have missed payments recently then its likely that it is your own file preventing any other lenders being prepared to give you more credit rather than just your wife's file.
I would recommend you post over the debt free wannabe section of the board for some help on reducing other outgoings etc so you can mange your debt repayments. Or if you cannot manage your debt repayments people there will be able to advise what other options you have available to tackling your debts. You'll be asked to complete and post a statement of affairs for people to advise you best.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
