Compensation from Credit Card company

I posted a while ago about a cc co who had 'accidentally' sent personal (and very sensitive) mail to my neighbour's address who had read it. Well, it has taken a while but I have finally received a compensation cheque for £300. I rejected their initial offer of £150 and they have come back with an increased offer. This was achieved as a direct result of the constructive and encouraging comments received on this forum so thank you to all concerned.

In addition, having sent a letter of complaint to a major bank who had ignored 16 of my letters in relation to my financial difficulties, out of the blue, I received a compensation cheque for £200 without even asking for anything. Again, this was down to info gleaned from the Forum which gave me the complaints address to write to which had previously proved most elusive to find!

So, thanks again to one and all, I have now been able to afford to finally order some heating oil. Tabs

We are finally warm :j and have a tankful of lovely oil (well, half a tankful, hopefully, should last us 2-3 months).
