Insuring two cars

I have one car insured with insureyourmotor.com, with 2 years no claims bonus. I have bought another car, but I am told I can only use no claims bonus for one car. Is there some policy or technique I can use to get around this?

my husband bought a second vehicle a few months ago, he also was told he would have to start again with his no claims discount as his full no claims discount didnt cover the new motor. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Its worth speaking to a broker. I have full no claims on one car and nil on another. I have just renewed the second car in my wife's name, and because we are both claim free for the last five years, and have high no claims on the other car, after one year with the new policy they will give us maximum no claims at renewal. So after 1 year we both end up with maximum no claims bonus ( touch wood we don't have any accidents this year).
The broker was quoteline direct ( be careful if you use them they added personal accident insurance and extra legal cover into the quote they gave me without telling me they were separate policies at extra cost) and the insurance company is Zurich.
Lots of other brokers / insurance companies can offer special deals for second cars, I know from when I phoned round a few.if i had known then what i know now0 -
I had this problem a year ago, my local Broker was able to sort a company that was able to match my no-claims on the main car. It was also at a good rate.
Some companies offer to insure a second car at the same rate as your first, you obviously have to have the first car insured with them though, Bell Direct is one!
Good luck!0
