The Doctor does not make the decision, so he couldn't possibly give you a 'clue' about the outcome of your medical.

Just wait and see before going into despair, you might even have the result you would like!

Both true, the assessor is not the one that makes the decision, and they are taught to give the 'its not us that makes the decision' type talk in their guidance.

However, the assessor will in most cases know for a fact the probable outcome of the decision at that point, as it is well known that decision makers usually just rubber stamp the ATOS (computer generated) report, so they will to all extents and purposes know if you have failed or passed before you even leave the room.

They just are not allowed to tell you what your chances are, if they follow their own rules, they would have to say they dont make the decision even if they knew its was 99.9 percent certain you had passed, or failed.
[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that

    that unfortunately is just life.

Everyone has good times and bad times, some last longer than others that all.

Sometimes though having a positive outlook makes things easier.

Not when it comes to benefit assessments, the software is designed to crucify anyone with a positive outlook.
