Not sure how or what she has done
but my daughters Dell Inspiron Laptop, when it powers up, the log on screen appears in Vertical format and this causes problems trying to log on
it appears if we press F1 there are several options to reformat the screen, however once we reboot the laptop we have the same problem
has anyone got any idea how to restore the start up screen to ensure when we boot up the opening screen is in the correct position (horizontal)
thanks

You can rotate the screen orientation on most laptops.
Usually it's Ctrl+Shift+Up Arrow or Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow to get it the right way up again (or maybe it's arrow down)

Thanks for that, it works as you say Ctr + Atl + Arrow Up
however when I reboot the log on screen is still in the vertical position rather than horizontal
any other suggestions
not sure how but I seem to have sorted it, thanks0 -
I'd have gussed pressing Ctrl+Alt+Up on the login screen BEFORE you login should fix it as well.
