That so many new poster's are getting the message, and no doubt spreading the word, that car parking parasite's who give out invoices inviting you to pay a large sum of money for an alleged parking indiscretion of which you do not need to pay are on their way out.
Good.
I would still love to see a PPC on here trying to defend their scam. PPC guy lasted long didn't he?

it's great alright.
I got the handle on this only a few months ago. due to incapacity (broken ribs) I found myself stuck at home instead of gym, golf and work. but it freed up loads of time to research parking law.
I was in pain, but -silver lining stuff - I put the bored hrs to good use and discovered what many here already know: PPC tickets are virtually unenforceable.
since then, I've managed to get the msg across to all my family and friends (facebook was handy) and more;
'toronto' said OH, 'I asked you to go to morrisons to buy some groceries, not spend 40mins walking the car park slapping 100 printed-off notices on windscreens telling the world and his cat that there's some kind of con going on. you're weird'.0 -
The word is spreading, and hopefully it will become uneconomical for them to carry on and move their interests to some other form of likelihoods. Hopefully a more ethical one then intimidation. I still think their downfall is going to be that they alienate themselves from the people they are supposed to be helping.
I think that's were we need to push now and encourage people to ignore the PPC but to complain to the retailers. Inform them that if they don't sort it out we will vote with our feet and shop elsewhere.0 -
Exactly. With high fuel prices and all the other wars being waged on motorists, retailers need to realise that the internet provides a convenient method of shopping for many people including myself. Retailers need to fear empty car parks rather than full ones.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0
