Hi all wonder if u can help i've got flights booked through ryanair, i'm taking my 2 year old and wanted help with the bag info. I've looked on their website and it says that infants can't have hand luggage but can have pushchair free of charge instead. Does anyone know if I can take hand luggage for my child and a pushchair or just a pushchair? I've done online check-in and its on my booking that I can take a pushchair free of charge provided that I check it into the bag hold myself...please help

Is your child booked as a child or an infant?Gone ... or have I?0

If you booked as an infant, the £20 fare, you get a pushchair for free, but not the 15kg allowance. If you booked as a child and paid the same as you, then you get the 15kg in 1 bag, but nothing else.
If you want to take any other baby item, (portacot etc) its a special price of £10 per item if yr paying the infant fare, (£20). But it has to be in the extra bag charge if its as a child/adult fare.
We have travelled heaps with Ryanair, (and in fairness never ever had an issue with them - except i hate the stampede!), when we had an infant, they can go to the plane in the pushchair. We used to put all the stuff we need for kids in one of the handbags for ease, including nappies, drinks for all and toys etc!. We usually had to have an extra case and pay for it in the hold for clothes and stuff.
As they got bigger, we got the allowance so generally could stop the hold bag, and they sat in the pushchair and we took it to the plane. It was also useful for carrying coats and things.
What it will teach you is how little you really need to take when going with small people!!!
Having used easyjet, they seem to be a bit more generous in the infant section. We are going Wizzair for the first time next month so I have no idea about them!0 -

The problem is the OP says their child is two, and so not eligible for the infant fare and subject to different rules.

Thanks for all your help the thing is that I booked her in as a child but when I view my booking online it says that I can add a pushchair free of charge so I'm confused as I booked her in as a child and paid the same price as myself0

I've just found out that because she's booked as a child we can take hand luggage for her and a pushchair as she has to have her own seat if she was booked in as an infant then I could only take a pushchair0

Yes....I said that!!! Child who who pays the adult fair gets the pushchair and the baggage allowance! And a seat!!! Thats the best thing you can have on an plane!!!0
