We've just been to Argos to pick up a TV we had reserved earlier today. The tv is still on the internet at £399.95 and when we went to pay it said it was £399.95. Luckily we had gone over to the display to look at it before we paid and the price the store had put on was £379.95.

We told them the display price and they told us that someone must have put the wrong price on the display model so they went straight over and took the price label off but told us that they would over-ride their system and sell us the TV at that price.

Thanks very much Argos, I know it's only £20 but it's better in my pocket than theirs

a similar thing happened to me a couple of years ago, saw a nice accurist watch priced at £12.50 (half original price), ordered it and was given a completely different brand, queried it and was told the watch i saw on display was not in the sale and was £100, but they sold it to me for £12.50
