I've also had an answerphone message asking me to call 07953 966066 and I've just found this information online at:
http://www.callforless.co.uk/special_dcs.htm .
This is NOT just an ordinary mobile number and the costs of phoning it are:
Daytime 24.86ppm
Evening 16.94ppm
Weekend 4.56ppm
BEWARE!! DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!!

no it's not...i've texted a virgin landline from both orange and O2 mobiles. If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!0 -
Unfortunately, you have come across a seriously out-of-date website (it was last updated more than seven years ago - on 7 July 2001) and, as a result, those prices are completely wrong.I've also had an answerphone message asking me to call 07953 966066 and I've just found this information online at:

If you refer to an up-to-date version of BT's own Specialised Numbers Price List, you will see that all 07953 numbers are charged at fm3 rate:
Daytime 12.723ppm incl VAT } These prices
Evening -7.830ppm incl VAT } accurate
Weekend -4.894ppm incl VAT } 20-12-2008
OTOH, there aren't many on MSE who use BT for calling mobile numbers - except, possibly, at the weekend when less than 5p per minute, although not the cheapest available, is not a bad price!
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
