cheapest train Portsmouth to Nottingham

I need to find the cheapest train going from Portsmouth (any station) to Nottingham (City) on Friday 4th Feb returning Sunday 6th February for

x1 adult
x1 child 6yrs
x2 under 5yrs toddlers

The cheapest I can find is £123 !!!:eek:

Can anyone please help?

    For a start, get a Family and Friends Railcard.
    That £123 fare drops to under £70 with a F&F railcard.

    If you don't mind being restricted to specific trains, that trip can be done for under £50 using Advance Singles and the above mentioned railcard.

    Railcard full price is £26.00, but get 25% off that here.

    Fares quoted are from Southern Railway's website.
  • Children under 5 travel free in the UK, so no need to include the toddlers when you buy tickets using your F&F railcard.

    Try also the megabus type companies. A lot cheaper than trains normally.
