Paying With Paypal On Ebid

I just won an auction on ebid and I wanted to pay by paypal but I couldn't see any way to do it. I requested an invoice from the seller and he says eBid won't let him send an invoice and just to send the payment to him using his email address. Is this ok, will I still be covered? And how will eBid know I have paid?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Get him to send you an invoice and demand for money from Paypal

Any payment on Paypal for goods is covered by the same protections as you expect when buying on eBay (full Item-Not-Received, full Significantly Not As Described).

You may have to mark it as paid manually on eBid - I don't think Paypal is integrated into the site as much as it is with eBay; eBid's integrated service is apparently PPPay but I've never used that method, preferring to stick with Paypal.
