 Bought a new item of childs clothing on Monday 30 October, only £5.99 inc P&P so no big deal on price, has'nt arrived yet.
I was the only bidder @ 0.99, newbie Seller, 18 Pos Feedback, as some of you have said everyone has to start somewhere so given the price decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Did cross my mind that the seller may not be happy with price and just not send. Checked Seller's other items yesterday.. nothing more for sale. Sent Seller message via Ebay yesterday asking if they would be so kind as to let me know when it was posted so I could estimate delivery day and make sure someone at home for post. No reply so far but early day's yet. Don't want to be too harsh on newbie if they are just a slow starter on Ebay but on other hand if they don't reply I will have to try to get money back sometime.
Just wondering, how long would you wait for item or reply before going down the PayPal route?.

Hi, could you just clarify when you paid. Monday was not the 30th october so if you paid on the 30th it is really too early to be worried yet. If you paid last Monday even then you are a bit early and can't even start a paypal chargeback until this coming monday, 7 days after payment.

Thank's Soo, erm Monday was 30 October, I paid immediately I won the item on 30th. Was watching item as it finished. I know it is a bit early yet just wanted some opinions for where to go next if it becomes necessary. Don't want to start chargeback until seller has had fair chance to send item that's all. :TSpeak your truth quietly and clearly;and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant, they too have their story. I dont think really that ample chance has been given for the item to get to you! You paid on Monday and it is only Saturday now! What method of posting did the seller state that he/she would be using and did they put on their listing an estimate of how soon they would post it out? What time did the listing end? I would give until Wednesday and if nothing then contact the seller to see what happening, if still no joy start an item not received dsipute.Weight Loss - 102lb0

I sell on ebay and usually send items out within 2 days of payment but sometimes packages can take upto 7 days to arrive depending where it's post to and that's using 1st class, I think the longest ever package was to Scotland mainland and it took 9 days to arrive by 1st class the buyer was getting worried but it got there in the end.0

Sorry, I'm getting confused by my months, I obviously still have my holiday head on.

Sellers should ship within 7 days of payment to be protected by paypal seller protection so they could ship as late as this monday and still be covered.

:T Thank's all for the kind advice, I had thought I would wait until end of next week anyway before doing anything, just wondered if the seasoned Ebayers on this thread would confirm my thoughts.
As I said, am not particularly worried just wanted to be prepared if item is a no show. (I must have been a Boy Scout in a former life).:rotfl:
Buy a lot on Ebay but never had to make any complaints so did'nt want to be heavy handed with a new seller if it could be avoided.:TSpeak your truth quietly and clearly;and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant, they too have their story. I wouldn't worry yet about not receiving a reply to your query: some eBayers only have internet access on weekdays! If no reply is received by about Tuesday or Wednesday, I'd send them another polite enquiry asking when it was posted, and mentioning that you didn't receive a reply to your previous message.0
