Nyone have much experience with Tesco Baby club?

I decided to join this online about 5 weeks ago, as I have a baby due early February. I joined the clubcard scheme at the same time The welcome e-mail I got from them said that I would receive my welcome pack "soon".

Having heard nothing since I joined, apart from the odd advertising e-mail, I e-mailed them to ask how long it might take to arrive. I got a reply telling me that it would be posted in 6-8 weeks, which is after my baby is due. Add that to the 5 weeks I've already waited, and that doesn't seem like 'soon' to me! I've not even been sent my club card.

Does the Welcome pack contain anything useful for pre-birth - vouchers, samples etc, or is it all baby related so I'm not really missing out on much?

I will certainly be chasing up the club card as I'm missing out on lots of points already.

Thanks

ps sorry about the spelling of the title.

  • can't remember a great deal, but you get a magazine every few months to suit your childs age. I had a few vouchers for wipes, shampoo, nappies etc. There was a voucher for a little basket which had a teddy and a few bits in but not worth getting too excited about it. Each magazine has vouchers few for money off the usual baby essentials.

Someone else may pop up who's had one more recently, they may've updated what you get, mine was over a year ago.

Currently (well this is based on what I get) you get a magazine based on the stage of pregnancy you are at or how old the baby is, along with a few money off coupons for nappies, wipes etc (50p or £1, nothing much more). Then there are some coupons based on what you buy in the store, this information comes from your clubcard so I wouldn't think you would have these for a while if you haven't used a clubcard before as there will no purchasing information stored about you yet.

I've never had a free sample from them or anything like that, so you really aren't missing out on anything. By the time you start receiving the magazine and coupons, you will still be using nappies and wipes so will still be able to use the coupons.
  • Thanks for the replies. It's nice to know that I'm really not missing much. I think I'm more annoyed that their idea of 'soon' is 11-13 weeks!!
